You may be still holding onto dial-up Internet. If so, it’s probably because you don’t use the Internet enough yet to feel the pain of how slow dial-up is. Trust us when we tell you, you need to make the decision to get broadband Internet asap.

You are missing out on A LOT by not getting involved in all of these tools and connections you can make using the Internet the right way. Keeping dial-up Internet will just ensure you never really get to use these tools, because dial-up keeps you in handicap mode. You can’t fully experience anything with dial-up because it’s TOO SLOW.

Dial up speed runs at 53 kilobits per second
DSL speed runas at 768 kilobits per second to 1.5 Megabits per second
Cable Modem speed can run from 4 Megabits per second to 20 Megabits per second

So doing something that takes a mere seconds on DSL or Cable Modem will takes MINUTES (the slow, painful kind!) on dial up Internet.

Contact your local service providers and see if you can get a promotional sign-up deal. They almost always have them going on. If not, tell them you’ll wait until they do have a promotion. You’ll be surprised at how fast they find one for you.
